1. Recognise God, say Hello.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.   He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  (John 1:1-14)
  2. Recognise you have not pleased Him, admit you are a sinner.  For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:10).  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  (Romans 3:23)
  3. Tell him you are sorry, confession heals the soul.  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
  4. Trust Him, He will forgive all your sins.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness  (1 john 1:9).

You then are saved by Him, sanctified (made holy and set apart by and for Him) and made his heir.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together (Romans 8:14-17).

You now are a child of GOD and can never be condemned.  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1).

You are now a new creature created in Him, with a specific new purpose "to WALK IN GOOD WORKS".  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
